Women in PR Ghana Hosts Annual End-of-Year Networking Event
To wrap up the year’s activities on a high note, Women in PR Ghana hosted its much-anticipated annual End-of-Year Networking Event on December 28, 2024, at The Hayvin Restaurant in East Legon, Accra.
The vibrant evening brought together PR professionals and industry enthusiasts in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere to celebrate a year of impactful work and forge deeper connections within the PR community.
The event set a tone of camaraderie and excitement from the very beginning. Attendees arrived to a warm reception and started to mingle while enjoying soothing ambient music. The evening officially began with an opening prayer, grounding the gathering with a sense of purpose.
An Icebreaker activity: “Speed Networking”
led by the event’s energetic MC, Linda Segbefia, encouraged attendees to interact and share their experiences throughout the year. It was an excellent start to fostering valuable connections among professionals.
The Events Coordinator of Women in PR Ghana, Edinam A. Sika, delivered a warm welcome address, introducing the event’s theme and objectives.
Attendees were guided into a more informal networking session where conversations flowed freely, creating an atmosphere of mutual learning and support.
The highlight of the evening was the sumptuous dinner, thoughtfully served in a serene setting. Guests relished the delicious meal while deepening their connections and exchanging ideas.
The event concluded with a preview of Women in PR Ghana’s 2024 calendar. The founder, Faith Senam Ocloo, delivered a heartfelt thank-you note, expressing gratitude to all attendees for their participation and continued support. “One of the reasons for which we are here is to connect with others. There may be times when you don’t know what to do and there are colleagues who have been in similar situations, it’s okay to call on them and talk to them. We’re a community and we should see each other as one. Let’s support each other, let’s stay connected and let’s make 2025 a bigger one.” , She added.
The night ended on a high note with informal socializing and lighthearted fun, leaving attendees with lasting memories and new friendships.
