WIPR Ghana Membership

The public relations industry in Ghana is still a budding one.  While there are many successful female practitioners in leadership positions, we believe there are much more women in mid-level and entry level roles. Women in PR Ghana since 2017 has created a community of Public Relations and Communication professionals who are vibrant and committed to exceling in their chosen career. A membership with Women in PR Ghana offers you great opportunities to connect with like-minded professionals and an extended global community with our affiliated Global Women in PR Ghana. Our membership is segmented into 4 categories using the Adinkra. We used the Adinkra (symbols from Ghana) to depict the uniqueness and richness of our language and culture as a people and to communicate the professional stages each of our members are in their career. By using Adinkra symbols, we hope both Ghanaians and people of other origins will learn more about these unique symbols which are used to communicate indigenously. Membership Categories

Women in PR Ghana recognizes that although we may all be working as PR and Communications professionals, our years of experience and needs vary. For this reason, the various membership categories allow us to know you better and tailor our programmes and activities to match your needs and expertise.

REGISTRATION SECTION

Pempamsie Membership (Students)

This is category of membership is opened to all female students from any recognised tertiary institutions reading public relations and other subjects such as Marketing, Journalism, Advertising who are interested in public relations. Joining our student membership automatically signs you up on our mentorship programme.

Nsoromma Membership (Young Star)

This membership category is created for recent graduates with 0- five (5) year’s experience in PR, Communications. Being a young star means you have a lot of potential which needs the right guidance and mentoring.

Kyemfere Membership (Experienced)

This membership category is designed for female professionals in their mid-level to senior level of their career from 6 years to 15 years experience in PR, communications and related field.

Nyansapo Membership (Honorary)

This category is for honorary members and is created to recognize and celebrate female leaders who have made major contributions to the PR and Communications profession. It is reserved for female PR professionals with over 16 years and above years of experience and in leadership positions in various organisations.
