Women in PR Ghana Unveils Top 10 PR Women for 2024

Since 2017, Women in PR (WiPR) Ghana has championed the invaluable contribution of women in the communications and public relations industry. Top 10 Women in PR Ghana is an esteemed recognition for women in the field of communications and public relations, playing exceptional roles in rolling out campaigns, and shaping brand narratives through impactful storytelling.  Annually, practitioners anxiously anticipate the announcement of the outstanding women whose work exemplifies leadership, innovation and impact within the profession.  

Women in PR Ghana acknowledges the unending contribution practitioners, particularly women play in areas such as corporate communication, public affairs, media relations, reputation management, digital strategy among others. The recognition is designed to inspire the next generation of female public relations professionals. 

As Women in PR Ghana unveil the Top 10 PR practitioners for 2024, we believe it is an opportune moment to reflect on the profound contribution and significance of women shaping the business environment and nurturing brands that attract the affection and loyalty of its target markets.

In light of the above, the six-member jury went to town in search of innovation, leadership, strategic thinking, impact, mentorship and most importantly the ability of these practitioners to leverage on digital platforms for wider reach.  

In the 2024 edition of our Top 10 Women in PR Ghana, we received 26 nominations from the PR community, following which a six-member jury was tasked to review and shortlist the entries based on the below criteria:   

  • Must be working or practising public relations or communications with at least six (6) years’ experience 
  • Must have planned and executed successful campaigns for their organisations and/or clients
  • Must have used various mediums (traditional and new media) to share their works as Public Relations Professionals
  • Must have been recognized through nominations and awards either on their own behalf or on behalf of their organisations or clients
  • Must have engaged in speaking opportunities
  • Must have mentored, educated, and supported other PR professionals
  • Must have led and championed campaigns that have informed the general public about public relations in Ghana and beyond

In the year under review, the jury concluded that these are the women who went the extra mile to use various platforms to communicate their impact stories and lead their organisations to shape their brand narratives.   

In the year 2024, these practitioners proved to the world that practitioners can only be successful at their work when they put in the required dedication and hardwork.

  1. Esther Cobbah, CEO, Stratcomm Africa and President, IPR Ghana

Ms. Esther A.N. Cobbah, CEO of Stratcomm Africa, is a titan, and colossus in Ghana’s PR industry with over 35 years of experience in corporate, governmental, and international communications. For decades, her leadership at Stratcomm has developed it into a platinum standard for innovative campaigns, crisis management and behavioral change communication. 

In 2024, she led Stratcomm Africa to mark its 30th anniversary, and executed groundbreaking initiatives, including the Annual Brand Reputation Week & Awards, a platform that enhances corporate and personal brand visibility. She also spearheaded the Ghana Garden and Flower Movement, a sustainability-driven campaign that promotes eco-friendly lifestyles and supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Elected as President of IPR Ghana in 2024, Ms. Cobbah led a delegation to meet with the National Peace Council’s Chairman, Rev. Dr. Ernest Adu-Gyamfi. This visit, part of IPR’s 50th-anniversary celebrations themed “Public Relations for Value Creation,” aimed to support the Peace Council’s efforts during the election year. 

In 2024, she was appointed as a Jury Member for the IPRA Golden World Awards, a prestigious global PR competition celebrating excellence in public relations. She also delivered the keynote address at the Women in PR Summit 2024, where she spoke on Strategic Communications, inspiring PR professionals to adopt innovative approaches for effective brand engagement.

Ms. Cobbah has over the years been known for her advocacy for a green environment. During the 12th Ghana Flower and Garden Show, Ms. Cobbah advocated for a behavioral change communication approach to address illegal mining activities in Ghana. She highlighted the need to engage communities in fostering attitudes that discourage such practices, emphasizing the role of communication in shaping societal behaviors

  1. Sophia Kudjordji, Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Jospong Group of Companies  

Sophia Kudjordji, a Chief Corporate Communications Officer at Jospong Group of Companies, is a multiple-award-winning communications leader with over 25 years of experience in PR and journalism. 

Ms. Kudjordji is deeply committed to mentorship and capacity building, having guided young professionals through platforms such as the Women in PR Ghana Mentorship Programme and the Comms Avenue Mentorship Programme, where she also serves as an Advisory Board Member. Ms. Kudjordji’s leadership prowess in communication and commitment to nurturing future leaders through mentorship, earned her a spotlight in the Transformational Leader platform. To her transformational leadership means nurturing and grooming others to recognize and develop their inherent leadership qualities. She was also featured in the Comms of Africa Focus on Series.   

In 2024, her exceptional contributions to the public relations industry earned her the recognition as one of the Top 20 African Women’s Leadership Academy’s Senior Fellowship Award, recognizing her unwavering dedication, leadership, and expertise in corporate communications. Under her leadership, Jospong Group of Companies won four awards at the 5th Ghana Business Awards, further showcasing her ability to drive corporate excellence through strategic communications.

She was also awarded the Nzinga 50 Laureate 2023-2024 as one of the 50 Most Outstanding African Women in Communication and Media Industries. 

Additionally, she was recognised by InstinctBusiness Magazine that covers all areas of businesses within the African region for her contribution to shaping the communications and PR landscape in Africa. 

Ms. Kudjordji served as a panel for the 2024 World PR Day Festival summit organised by Global Media Alliance where emphasized that the digital age has transformed how we communicate, therefore PR professionals must adapt to new tools and platforms to reach and engage their audiences effectively. 

She served as a speaker of high-level engagements such as the African Communicating Africa engagement on Africa’s presence at the Conference of Parties (COP 29), Innova DDB Ghana on CSR initiatives for youth employment in Ghana, the 3rd Annual Mentorship Dinner by UNIMAC-GIJ, University of Professional Studies Public Relations and Communications Conference and the FEMITECH conference organised by the Ghana -India Kofi Annan Center of Excellence in partnership with Women in PR Ghana. 

She is a sought-after speaker, sharing insights at key industry events, including the National Brands Innovations Forum, GIJ Academic-Practitioner Conference, IPR Webinar, and Virtuous Ladies Connect.

  1. Ivy Heward-Mills (Director, Center for International Education and Collaboration, University of Professional Studies, Accra)

Ivy Heward-Mills is a renowned communications strategist recognized for her expertise in international protocol and cross-cultural etiquette. As the Director of International Education and Collaboration (CIEC) at UPSA, she has been instrumental in advancing the university’s global reputation through stakeholder engagement, international partnerships, and public relations strategies.

In 2024, she was awarded the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Leadership for her outstanding contributions to the UPSA. She played a pivotal role in organizing major international events, including the QS Africa Forum, which attracted participants from over 200 countries, and the Leadership Lectures, which featured Lord Boateng of the UK’s House of Lords as a keynote speaker.

Ms. Heward-Mills represented her institution at high-level engagements such as the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council’s Global Advisory Council, serving alongside global leaders like the UK Trade Minister and the Prime Minister of Gibraltar. She was also a keynote speaker at the Commonwealth Trade and Investment Summit in Bangladesh, where she shared a panel with Nigeria’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Her exceptional stakeholder engagement skills have been crucial in securing strategic partnerships that enhance international education, research collaborations, and cultural exchange at UPSA. She has successfully positioned the university on the global stage by building high-profile relationships and bringing distinguished figures, including members of the UK House of Lords and World Trade Organisation leaders to engage with students and faculty.

A strong advocate for diversity and inclusion, Ivy has leveraged PR to create opportunities for students from marginalized backgrounds and has championed women’s leadership. Her ability to bridge cultures through public relations has made her an essential figure in education diplomacy.

In addition to her role at UPSA, she has served on the National Executive Council of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR), Ghana, for five years and has facilitated training for the IPR Ghana Accreditation Program for over a decade.

Ms. Heward-Mills moderated several international conferences and roundtables on critical topics, including AI, SMEs, and Education, demonstrating her versatility and thought leadership in public relations. Her achievements reinforce the role of PR professionals in shaping global conversations and fostering impactful collaborations. 

4. Shirley Tony Kum (Head of Corporate Communications, Vivo Energy Ghana)

Ms. Shirley Tony Kum, an award-winning communications expert, has consistently demonstrated excellence in corporate communications, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement. Her strategic leadership and dedication to impactful storytelling have continued to shape the industry, making her remain top of mind in the PR landscape.

One of the things that makes Shirley stand out is the consistent rollout of initiatives that targets diverse audiences, most especially consumers of Shell products. 

In 2024, Shirley led the launch of the Green4Clean initiative in partnership with United Way Ghana and Academic City University College. The project introduced renewable energy education to students at La Enobal Basic School and La Presbyterian Primary A and B in Accra, aiming to instill a culture of environmental sustainability among the younger generation.

Additionally, she led her organisation to launch the second edition of the Fit2Drive, an initiative that promotes the health and well-being of the people who keep the country’s transport systems running for economic development. The initiative was rolled out in five (5) regional capitals for over 1,000 commercial drivers. 

Under Shirley’s leadership, Vivo Energy Ghana also made significant contributions to the Ghana Education Service’s ‘My First Day At School’ initiative by donating stationary, books, and school bags. It underscores Vivo Energy Ghana’s dedication to making a positive impact in communities it operates. 

Vivo energy also expanded its Community Digital Literacy Project to its second phase by providing additional Booksmart tablets to the Northern Regional Library as a way of enhancing digital reading resources for students in the region.

Ms. Tony Kum received the Nzinga 50 Laureate 2023-2024 as one of the 50 Most Outstanding African Women in Communication and Media Industries. 

A seasoned crisis communication expert, she has played a critical role in protecting and enhancing Vivo Energy’s corporate reputation. Her expertise in managing crises and engaging stakeholders has ensured that the brand maintains trust and credibility within the industry.

Beyond her corporate achievements, Ms. Tony Kum has remained an influential voice in the PR and communications space. 

She was elected Vice President of MOGA, contributing to alumni engagement and community initiatives aimed at empowering current students through mentorship programs. 

5. Georgina Asare Fiagbenu (Senior Communications Manager, MTN Ghana)

Georgina Asare Fiagbenu is the Head of Corporate Communications for MTN Ghana. In her role, she is responsible for internal and external communications, media relations, community relations, stakeholder management, and leadership communications. She also leads the team to communicate the activities of the MTN Ghana Foundation and Mobile Financial Services (MTN Mobile Money).

She played a pivotal role in advancing the company’s commitment to Ghana’s digital agenda. Under her leadership, MTN Ghana pledged to allocate 75% of its projects to ICT-related activities, focusing on integrating technology into education, healthcare, and economic empowerment to enhance livelihoods. This strategic direction emphasized the importance of incorporating digital components into community proposals, reflecting MTN’s dedication to leveraging technology for societal benefit.

Ms. Fiagbenu also participated as a speaker at the Youth Empowerment Summit in Tamale, organized by the Martha Inspires Foundation. Addressing approximately 3,000 students, she emphasized the importance of striving for excellence and building a strong personal brand.

Additionally, Ms. Fiagbenu led a session in Tamale focusing on empowering young girls to envision and build a brighter future. She discussed safe internet practices and encouraged the participants to dream big and commit to their goals and the need for the youth to take digitalization training seriously, highlighting the global shift towards digital platforms. 

Aside from the stellar role played in the communication and visibility efforts of these initiatives, Georgina dedicated time and resources towards the education of the public on the significance of timekeeping. Through the Timekeeping Dialogue Series, an initiative under the Transformational Leadership Concepts (TLC), the ace communicator held several online conversations with renowned leaders on the essence of effective time management in the journey to success. 

6. Emma Wenani (Chief Director, Global Media Alliance)

In 2024, Emma Wenani, Chief Director at Global Media Alliance (GMA), played a pivotal role in several key projects and initiatives.

Under her leadership, GMA organized the 9th edition of the Ghana Beverage Awards. The event saw a record-breaking participation with over 700 nominations—a 20% increase from the previous year. Notably, two new categories, ‘Bar of the Year’ and ‘Bartender of the Year’, were introduced to acknowledge the contributions of hospitality professionals. Ms. Wenani expressed her enthusiasm about the industry’s growth, stating that the high volume of entries is a testament to the remarkable growth and innovation within Ghana’s beverage industry. 

In February 2024, Ms. Wenani spearheaded the Bartenders Masterclass, an event designed to enhance the skills of both seasoned and aspiring bartenders. She highlighted the importance of utilizing local ingredients in mixology, aiming to craft world-class beverages that tell unique stories. She emphasized that bartenders are not just servers but storytellers who bring brands to life through their craft. 

As part of GMA’s commitment to advancing the public relations profession, Ms. Wenani led the organization of the WPRD Festival Summit in July 2024. The summit focused on the transformative power of public relations in today’s dynamic landscape, with a special emphasis on AI and sustainability.Ms. Wenani expressed excitement about hosting the event, highlighting its role in exploring opportunities and challenges in the evolving PR industry. 

Demonstrating a commitment to mentorship and education, Ms. Wenani led a GMA initiative to empower young women at the African Science Academy. The program aimed to inspire students to find their voices and pursue careers in STEM fields. Ms. Wenani emphasized the power of education and mentorship in uplifting young women. 

In September 2024, under Ms. Wenani’s leadership, GMA was honored as the ‘Premium Corporate Communications Brand of the Year’ at the Made-in-Ghana Awards. She expressed gratitude for the recognition, attributing it to the hard work and dedication invested in building a strong communications brand

7. Rita Agyeiwaa Rockson (Foundation Sustainability and External Comms Manager, Telecel Ghana)

In 2024, Rita Agyeiwaa Rockson, serving as the Head of Foundation, Sustainability, and External Communications at Telecel Ghana, led several impactful initiatives across health, education, and community development

Under her leadership, the Telecel Ghana Foundation conducted free bimonthly ultrasound scans for over 320 pregnant women in the Upper East Region, aiming to improve maternal and child health by providing essential prenatal care. The Foundation also organised Healthfest, a comprehensive health screening initiative in various communities, including Teacher Mante in the Eastern Region, benefiting about 500 residents. Services included checks for blood pressure, blood sugar, malaria, hepatitis B, HIV, and typhoid, along with general health consultations. 

The Homecoming Initiative assisted patients at the Kumasi South Hospital by settling outstanding medical bills, ensuring they receive necessary treatment and be discharged without financial burden. ​

Ms. Agyeiwaa also led her team to roll-out the Grow Girls in STEM, a program that empowered young girls in Koforidua through training in coding, robotics, and programming, aiming to bridge the digital skills gap and inspire future careers in STEM fields. ​

Additionally, the DigiTech Academy, a pilot program in Ho provided students with hands-on experience in technology, culminating in projects like miniature cranes and smart home models, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills. ​

As an expert in stakeholder management, she led her organisation for the Ashanti Month Celebrations, a month-long series of events in the Ashanti Region to celebrate sports, culture, and community, including health initiatives and support for local traditions. 

Also in partnership with Touching the Lives of Girls Foundation International, the foundation commemorated this day at KNUST, providing education and resources to over 5,000 female students to promote menstrual hygiene and break associated taboos.

8. Cassandra Twum Ampofo, (Head, Public Relations Unit,Ghana Education Service Headquarters)

Cassandra Twum Ampofo serves as the Head of the Public Relations Unit at the Ghana Education Service (GES), where she leads communication strategies and public relations initiatives. 

To ensure uniformity and professionalism in the organisation’s communication, she played a key role in the training for frontline directors, public relations officers and district directors on the Ghana Education Service’s brand guidelines. 

Ms. Twum Ampofo also co-chaired the Communication and Outreach Working Group for the Education Accountability Framework panel discussion and initiative supported by the Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Project (GALOP), which aims to improve quality in low-performing basic education schools and strengthen equity and accountability across the education sector. She supported the drafting of strategies to engage communities, promote accountability, enhance understanding of programs among others. 

In preparation towards the roll-out of the new Senior High School curriculum, she led a stakeholder engagement with students, teachers, parents and community leaders in a bid to secure their buy-in which is crucial to shaping effective policies. 

Cassandra has served as commentator for Ghana’s Independence Day parade for six (6) consecutive years. 

9. Maame Akua Amoah Twum  (Communications Coordinator for Anglophone West and North Africa, Afrobarometer)

Maame Akua Amoah Twum serves as Afrobarometer’s Communications Coordinator for North and Anglophone West Africa, based at the Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana).

In 2024, she demonstrated exceptional strategic and internal communication skills, effectively engaging stakeholders and ensuring high visibility for Afrobarometer’s dissemination activities across her region. From event planning and media engagement to content creation and internal communications, Maame Akua played a pivotal role in advancing Afrobarometer’s digital-first, continent-wide communications strategy.

She strategically coordinated and executed high-impact dissemination events, particularly in Ghana ahead of the 2024 elections, generating widespread media attention around Afrobarometer’s findings. Her ability to position research for high-level influence was evident in the high-profile presentations she led, including briefings to the President, Prime Minister, and Parliament of Cabo Verde, and ministers in several other countries.

She secured top-tier placements in international and pan-African media and played a key role in media training for Afrobarometer staff and National Partner communications representatives. She also collaborated with the Capacity Building Team to train journalists in her region, and contributed to expanding the Network’s media and civil society organization (CSO) database.

Maame Akua made significant contributions to Afrobarometer’s 25th-anniversary campaign and coordinated media partnerships that elevated the Network’s visibility in North and Anglophone West Africa. Additionally, she led internal communications efforts for the Afrobarometer@25 celebrations, spearheading engaging activities that kept staff and partners informed and involved.

As part of CDD-Ghana’s Communications Team, Maame developed and implemented communication strategies, managed internal newsletters, and facilitated seamless information flow across departments to enhance employee engagement and alignment with the Center’s goals.

10. Kobi Hemaa Osisiadan (Director of Corporate Affairs at the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Center of Excellence in ICT)

In 2024, she spearheaded key initiatives promoting female participation in technology and led a national campaign equipping young people with critical IT skills. Her passion for mentorship is evident in her dedication to coaching young professionals in media, public relations, artificial intelligence, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

In her capacity as the Director of Corporate Affairs at the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT (GI-KACE), she played a pivotal role in the re/Start initiative, a program designed to enhance digital technology competencies among the youth. The initiative aimed to reduce youth unemployment by offering training in areas such as Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Cloud Computing. The first phase of the entired program successfully trained two thousand, nine hundred and fifty four participants.

She led the stakeholder campaign of the Technology-Enabled Open School Project (TeOSS) implemented by Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT (GI-KACE) in partnership with UNESCO and Huawei. The initiative which is part of a global intervention leveraged technology to enhance the digital skills of students from diverse backgrounds including girls, persons with disabilities and rural under-served communities, thereby contributing directly to Ghana’s progress towards all targets of SDG 4.

Kobi Hemaa led her team to implement PR campaign for the eskills4Jobs initiative, that resulted in empowering two thousand, seven hundred and thirty-five participants with the digital capabilities necessary to thrive in today’s global job market.

Through strategic content creation and management, she has significantly enhanced social media engagement and visibility for numerous high-profile politically exposed persons. Currently, she manages the social media accounts of certain key political figures, fostering stronger connections with their audiences and stakeholders. Her work underscores a deep commitment to shaping and elevating the public image of PEPs while skillfully navigating the complexities of their roles in society.

Women in PR Ghana Stars

Women in PR Ghana also recognizes the outstanding work of these PR Stars, Suzy Ansah, Regional Marketing Specialist for West & Central Africa, US Agency for Global Media and Voice of America, Linda Segbefia, Corporate Communications Officer for UBA, Lorrencia Adam Nkrumah, Corporate Communications Public Affairs Specialist, Nestle Central & West Africa and Priscilla Mawuena, Communications Officer, World Health Organization, Tanzania. 

Suzy Ansah (Regional Marketing Specialist for West and Central Africa at the United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM) and Voice of America (VOA))

Suzy has played a pivotal role in strengthening the visibility and impact of Voice of America (VOA) across West and Central Africa. She has also been instrumental in advancing journalism in the region. One of her notable initiatives was organizing a three-day intensive training session on “AI in Journalism” for VOA media partners in Ghana, held in Accra and Kumasi. This program equipped journalists with the skills to integrate artificial intelligence into their reporting, enhancing the quality and efficiency of news production.

In 2024, she spearheaded the promotion of VOA’s U.S. presidential election coverage, crafting compelling campaigns that boosted affiliate participation. She also facilitated partnerships with key radio stations in Ghana, Liberia, and Sierra Leone, ensuring broader access to credible news. Despite budgetary constraints, she championed cost-effective solutions, such as leveraging DSTV and the VOA app, to streamline content distribution.

Her expertise extends beyond media relations—Suzy’s data-driven approach has optimized content performance monitoring, setting new operational standards at VOA. A Chartered Marketer and MBA candidate, she blends strategic communication with business acumen, positioning herself as a leader in regional PR.

Her ability to navigate cross-border collaborations, mentor industry peers, and drive impactful campaigns cements her as a dynamic force in public relations.

Linda Segbefia, (Corporate Communications Officer, UBA Ghana)

Linda Segbefia, a seasoned communications expert with about eight (8) years communications experience. In 2024, she launched her website LindaSegbefia.com, a platform to share compelling stories that celebrate resilience, individual and corporate triumphs, and cultural heritage. The website offers a diverse range of content, including brand narratives, impactful corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and features on African cinema, reflecting Linda’s passion for storytelling and cultural celebration.

Additionally, Linda supported UBA’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts on initiatives such as Braille Account, a pioneering product designed to provide inclusive banking solutions for visually impaired individuals, reinforcing the Bank’s leadership in financial inclusion and innovation, ensuring that no one is left behind. The initiatives also include the flagship National Essay Competition which has empowered countless students by providing scholarships to pursue higher education and the Read Africa project. These initiatives led to the Bank’s recognition as ​Most Sustainable Bank of the Year 2024. 

With her strong interest in CSR, Ms. Segbefia also supported her organization’s environmental sustainability activity when they participated in the national Green Ghana Day campaign by planting trees.

Priscilla Mawuena Adjeidu (Communications Officer, World Health Organization, Tanzania)

Mawuena is a dynamic and results-driven communications professional with about six years communications experience. She currently serves as the Communications Officer for the World Health Organization (WHO), Tanzania, where she has been instrumental in increasing the visibility of the country office and advancing key health priorities. Her ability to craft and execute innovative communication strategies has positioned WHO Tanzania as a leading voice in public health advocacy.

She led the development and execution of WHO Tanzania’s communications strategy, aligning it with the Ministry of Health’s approach, which significantly increased the office’s visibility and engagement. She organized and coordinated a large-scale regional event in Tanzania, hosting over 400 participants, including global health leaders, to discuss pressing Non-Communicable Disease issues. She also spearheaded WHO Tanzania’s first Walk the Talk campaign in five years, bringing together over 300 participants, including the Minister of Health, to promote healthier lifestyles. Her efforts in leading advocacy for Africa’s malaria vaccine rollout, with pilot projects in Benin and Malawi, ensured effective communication and public engagement.

Mawuena dramatically improved WHO Tanzania’s media presence through the Health Journalist Programme, quarterly media briefings, and op-eds for key health leaders. She also led a digital strategy that grew WHO Tanzania’s Twitter followers from 6,000 to over 10,000 in one year. She designed and produced WHO Tanzania’s 2024 Biennial Report, developed fact sheets on Marburg recovery and cholera response, and created over 10 impactful videos on global health issues. Her work in facilitating content placement in 15+ media outlets and strengthening WHO’s donor visibility efforts secured additional funding from the Irish Embassy in Tanzania.

She trained over 60 WHO Tanzania staff members in social media, storytelling, and public speaking, empowering 48 active contributors to enhance the organization’s digital presence. She also managed communications during high-profile health emergencies, including cholera and Marburg outbreaks, ensuring accurate public messaging and government collaboration.

Mawuena’s expertise in strategic communication, media engagement, and stakeholder collaboration has earned her recognition as one of WHO Africa’s top young communications professionals. Her ability to manage cross-border initiatives, mentor young PR practitioners, and execute high-impact campaigns makes her a standout leader in global health communications.

Lorrencia Adam Nkrumah (Corporate Communications Public Affairs Specialist, Nestlé Central & West Africa)

Lorrencia Adam Nkrumah is a communications professional, blending creativity, influence, and expertise to redefine corporate communications. Her dedication to excellence, mentorship, and innovation is admired by many industry professionals.

Lorrencia’s Perspectives with Lorrie, a platform that has over the period sparked insightful conversations around real-life issues that shape our everyday experiences. Her ability to craft narratives and drive impactful discussions has strengthened visibility and awareness of global nuances that demand attention. 

In 2024, she continued to make an impact as a Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Specialist for Nestlé, solidifying her position as a leader in the field.

Lorrencia’s creativity, industry influence, and strong advocacy for a better community set her apart. She redefines communication trends through her confident public speaking and commitment to shaping the next generation of PR professionals. Her ability to blend corporate storytelling with engaging, real-world insights makes her a leader in the field, continuously inspiring and transforming Ghana’s PR landscape.

Limitations and Challenges:

The challenges faced by the Jury have remained consistent with previous years. Despite the remarkable contributions of many professionals to outstanding campaigns, the information shared about their work remains limited. As PR and Communication professionals, much of our impact happens behind the scenes, but it is increasingly important to maintain updated LinkedIn profiles and leverage social media to build strong personal brands. This became evident during our research, as we sought additional data to support the entries received.

Conclusion

As an organisation, it is our hope to use these listings to spotlight more women to serve as role models and mentors in our bid to increase female leadership in the PR industry in Ghana, the African continent and the world at large.
